Bridge Timeline

Our model Popsicles Bridge is a 7-week project with detailed tasks respect to specific time periods. The table 2 illustrates our project timeline for a 7-week duration:

     1.     Design

• Begin to research about topics related to bridge structure and construction.

• General rough sketch of Pratt Truss structure and dimensions
• Generate detailed sketch on Visual Analysis.
• Use Visual Analysis tools to test the geometry and compare the distribution of forces between positions
• Estimate the weight the bridge can load

     2.     Physical building the design.

• Come up with a blueprint of the two sides, middle part and beams with detailed layers of Popsicle sticks
• Left side is built in week 3, right side in week 4, middle part and general fabricated in week 5

 3. Verification

• We will test it with 50lbs first and increase up to 100lbs mass
• Try to test if the load is placed in the middle and from the sides
• May come up with solution to increase the load
